Caribbean Gin Cocktail

The Aviation

This is a classic cocktail that originated over 100 years ago. It is famous for its purple-ash hue which comes from the Creme de Violette (originally) but now can be achieved with the Blue Ocean Edition Gin. 

It is a well balanced cocktail for those with refined taste. 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 oz. Lime Juice
  • 2 oz. Blue Ocean Gin
  • 1/2 oz. Maraschino Liqour  
  • 1/2oz. Creme de Violette 

Method

  • Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker

  • Add ice and shake briefly 

  • Pour into a martini glass

  • Garnish with maraschino cherry
